The Ascot & District (Fielden) Charity Cup Competition was founded in 1920 and is open to football clubs within a 12 mile radius of Bracknell Post Office. The teams compete for a silver cup which was donated by the late Dr. E. Fielden, who was Bracknell's only doctor at the time.
The aim of the competition was to help raise finds for the Royal Victoria nursing home in South Ascot. All money raised by the competition is donated to local charities, which differ each year.
The competition was originally manged by a council that was elected annually, but in recent times has come under the control of the East Berkshire Football League.
